FPÖ: Government is negligent in electricity price compensation

The FPÖ accuses the government of being negligent in implementing electricity price compensation. "Almost two months after the media-effective announcement of the reintroduction of electricity price compensation by ÖVP Economics Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, there is still no sign of concrete implementation," said its industry spokesperson Axel Kassegger.
Many companies are currently in the crucial phase of their budget planning for 2026. However, they still don't know what specific requirements they need to meet to benefit from compensation. "The uncertainty is undermining the urgently needed transformation toward energy-efficient, electrified industrial production. We therefore call for the immediate start of electricity price compensation with clearly defined guidelines," Kassegger emphasized in a press release.
