Subsidies for renewables from June

According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, funding for renewable energies will be made available this year at the legally required minimum. This means that €70 million is available for investment grants. However, a bonus of up to 20 percent is planned for PV and electricity storage projects, provided European components are used. This bonus is intended to support European value creation. From an Austrian perspective, the know-how in the field of inverters and battery storage is worth highlighting. The bonus will be available from the second funding call on June 23rd. "It stands for regional value creation and a clear commitment to Europe as an industrial location," said Economics Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer. The first call for funding for photovoltaic, hydropower, wind power, and biomass plants will also take place this year. A total of €60 million in funding is available for PV systems. Hydropower plants up to 25 megawatts will receive a total of €5 million in support. The investment subsidies for wind turbines up to one megawatt amount to one million euros, and for biomass plants up to 50 kilowatts to four million euros.
