Women in Wind – An exclusive evening full of inspiration at Husum Wind
Husum Wind is considered one of the most important industry platforms for wind energy, bringing together experts from all over the world. This trade fair brings together "Women in Wind – Ladies Only!"
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the auditorium of the North Sea Congress Center (NCC) will open its doors for this extraordinary networking evening. In the atmospheric Purple Lounge atmosphere, participants can expect an inspiring keynote speech accompanied by live music, as well as delicious snacks and drinks. The goal is to empower women in the industry, offer them opportunities for mutual empowerment, and promote professional and personal exchange. The event is under the patronage of the German Wind Energy Association (BWE), represented by President Bärbel Heidebroek, and is supported by renowned partners such as WAB, Rely On Nutec Germany, mEErFrauen, Plarad Service GmbH, and the FEM Business Network. Participation is free of charge, but space is limited.

This year, special attention will be paid to the presence of Women of New Energies (w.one), a network for women in renewable energies. Since its founding in 2010, w.one has established numerous formats – from roundtables with keynote speeches to business speed dating and large-scale industry events. The focus is on topics such as promoting young talent, networking, and equality in the energy industry. With its successful mentoring program, the network supports both female career starters and young managers, supporting them in actively shaping their careers in the energy industry.
Furthermore, w.one is strongly committed to equal opportunities and the visibility of women in the renewable energy sector – both nationally and internationally. The goal is to significantly increase the proportion of women in specialist and management positions, enforce fair pay, and promote the balance of family and career. As an important platform for empowerment and collaborative development, the network provides valuable inspiration and impressively underscores the dynamics that arise when women share their experiences, ideas, and visions. w.one's presence at Husum Wind underscores the growing importance of women's networks in a forward-looking industry.
