The capital's declaration recognizing the agricultural terraces of the hilly areas of Xochimilco, Tláhuac, Milpa Alta, and Iztapalapa as biocultural heritage constitutes a responsibility, not a reward, warned Fernando Chiapa Sánchez, a researcher at the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM).
