Moda refurbishes a pop-up store at Eco Fashion Week in Cáceres

Madrid (EFEverde).- Moda reopens a pop-up store from June 4 to 10 to join the Eco Fashion Week at the Ruta de la Plata Shopping Center in Cáceres, an event that brings textile recycling and circular economy education to users through creative workshops, a fashion show, and exhibitions.
The Moda Re- stores are part of REMUDARTE, a social economy company that collaborates with the shopping center's ORIGEN program to commemorate World Environment Day (June 5) and promote circularity in the textile sector. This synergy began in 2020, when red clothing collection containers managed by Cáritas, a key REMUDARTE partner, were installed in the parking lot.
More than a 'pop up'Located in a space provided by Ruta de la Plata, the pop-up store accompanies Eco Fashion Week activities with a runway show and two exhibitions. The first, dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals, highlights the relationship between fashion and responsible consumption through textile recycling.
The second focus on upcycling, or creative reuse, features a display of mannequins dressed in garments by designers such as Águeda Valle Upcycling and 100 Colores 100. These creations will come to life in a fashion show scheduled for June 8.
These actions are co-financed by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, promoted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
More responsible consumptionOther activities within the framework of Eco Fashion Week include creative workshops to create keychains with thread, a T-shirt upcycling activity, and a craft market aimed at informing and educating about consumption and responsible and sustainable practices in the textile industry. This will provide users with practical tools for reusing and transforming garments, reducing waste generated by clothing consumption, and promoting more sustainable habits. EFE
