"Three hundred billion euros for renewables," the false amount for the ecological transition brandished by the right and the far right

How much will it cost to deploy the renewable energies needed for the ecological transition over the next decade? "We refuse to allow you to double the number of wind turbines on land, cover France with Chinese solar panels and disfigure our coasts with offshore wind turbines, for a total bill of 300 billion euros which comes on top of the 100 billion already wasted," said Marine Le Pen, president of the National Rally (RN) group at the Palais-Bourbon. "This PPE, if adopted (...) , would involve more than 300 billion euros – almost 400 billion – of additional spending on wind and solar power, most of it unnecessary," added Eric Ciotti, president of the Union of the Right for the Republic.
