While many elected officials and EDF are saturating the media with their positions in favor of a pair of EPR2 reactors near the Bugey power plant, citizens are also being invited to participate in the public debate. Artificial intelligence (AI) is supposed to make their task simple and enjoyable. But the experiment seems to have its limits.

You don't need to be a nuclear geek to participate in the public debate, which runs until May 15th, on the proposed construction of two EPR2 reactors at the Bugey nuclear power plant. The National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) is positioning itself as a "neutral and independent defender" of every citizen's right to "be informed and participate in decision-making." It invites the most reluctant to engage in a conversation with artificial intelligence (AI)... which isn't always very objective.
