Climate: 5 reasons why Europe is warming twice as fast as the global average

All climate negotiators and diplomats will have their eyes fixed on Brussels this Tuesday, November 4th. Just six days before the launch of COP30 , the highly anticipated conference to be held in Belém, Brazil, the 27 EU member states will make one last attempt to find common ground to formally enshrine their shared objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions over the next fifteen years . For the environment ministers tasked with this final mission, the issue is setting the reduction target for 2035 (as requested by the United Nations prior to COP30) as well as the target for 2040.
