Erstein. Upcycling workshops with Lydia Dénarié, from La Rose poudrée

On the mezzanine of the GMG nursery in Erstein, Lydia Dénarié has been offering upcycling workshops (recovery and customization of objects) for several months in her boutique La Rose poudrée.
Her grandmothers perfumed themselves with rice powder, which has a soft, refined scent and texture. This childhood memory is the origin of her love of beauty and inspired the name of her retail and creative space.
Originally from Savoie, Lydia Dénarié has managed two restaurants and an equestrian center, launched into events as a bar manager and landed a position as director in the same field for a gourmet caterer.
In 2012, she moved to Baden-Württemberg, where she opened a boutique focused on decorating hotels and restaurants. Seven years later, she crossed the Rhine and created La Rose poudrée in an outbuilding of her house in Rhinau, then in Barr, with two display windows and 100 m² of sales space.
Since 2024, she has moved to GMG thanks to the friendship that binds her to Géraldine, Mathieu and Guillaume.
"Those interested can bring a tin can, a clay pot, and then update it using the materials I provide."
Thus, a tin can is transformed into a vase or a plant holder, an old construction site bowl becomes a container with multiple uses because it is enhanced by a stylish molding made in the shop.
La Rose Poudrée - GMG Nursery on the Mezzanine, 8B Route de Krafft. Three-hour workshops by reservation every afternoon, starting at €38. 06 76 36 73 05.
