Eschbach-au-Val. Water usage restriction

The municipality of Eschbach-au-Val is affected by the prefectural decree of July 10 limiting certain water uses within the "Doller amont, Fecht, Weiss, Lauch" alert zone in Haut-Rhin.

The water use restriction measures have been in effect since July 11 and will remain in effect until November ^1. They may be strengthened, extended, or repealed depending on the development of the meteorological and hydrological situation.

The measures are as follows: watering lawns is prohibited from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; watering vegetable gardens is prohibited from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (watering only with a watering can or by drip irrigation); filling swimming pools over one meter is prohibited, except for topping up and initial filling if the work had started before the first restrictions, and after agreement from the municipality. Furthermore, washing vehicles is prohibited, except in professional stations. Given the very low flow of the Dorfbach river, all water withdrawals are suspended.

Residents are asked to follow these instructions in order to preserve water resources and aquatic life in the streams and the Dorfbach.
