Haut Bugey: New containers in town for recycling your large cardboard boxes

Door-to-door recycling was rolled out in the Haut-Bugey urban area (HBA) between late 2022 and 2024. The yellow-lidded bins are used to collect bulk recyclable waste : packaging and paper, including cardboard. Large cardboard boxes previously had to be taken to a recycling center.
With e-commerce, an explosion in quantitiesIn ten years, their annual volume has increased from around 562 tonnes (2015) to 652 tonnes (2025) across all the Haut-Bugey Agglomeration (HBA) waste disposal sites.
