Health. Bees, wasps, and hornets: Eastern France less exposed to stings

The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES) and Public Health France have carried out an analysis of stings (envenomations) by hymenoptera (wasps, bees, hornets) in France from 2014 to 2023.
This study shows that the number of bites has not increased, that it has remained relatively stable and that the most serious cases (urticaria, throat edema, drop in blood pressure) are rare (1.5% of the total) and mainly due to allergic reactions. They mainly affect men aged over 60.
