Jura: The department placed on yellow storm alert until Thursday evening

Météo France has extended the department's yellow alert until Thursday evening. Localized thunderstorms over the Haut Jura mountains will develop from midday until early evening. They could cause significant downpours, temporarily low to moderate electrical activity, and gusts of between 40 and 50 kilometers per hour.

Normally, these storms should clear out of the Haut-Doubs region by early evening. They follow an initial episode that hit the department earlier this week.

Stigmata

A deluge of rain and hail fell late Monday in the Foncine-le-Haut area, leaving some scars. Around ten homes were flooded, and a few public buildings were also affected. However, the damage was not significant.
