Lyon 1st. The Mont-Sauvage garden: the new relaxation spot on the slopes of Croix-Rousse

This Wednesday, May 7, the mayor of the 1st arrondissement, Yasmine Bouagga, and Gautier Chapuis, deputy mayor of Lyon, inaugurated the Jardin du Mont-Sauvage, formerly known as the Friche du Bon Pasteur. The southern part of the plot (800 m2 ), secured and landscaped, is already open to the public. The remaining part (1,200 m2 ) will remain inaccessible, in order to preserve a biodiversity zone.
After several years of citizen mobilization and legal proceedings (see elsewhere), the former Bon Pasteur wasteland located at 33/35 rue du Bon Pasteur has officially become the Jardin du Mont-Sauvage. A space open to the public dedicated to breathing, relaxation, and biodiversity.
