Norway and Tille. "We must stop this disorder!": tensions surrounding the management of the Smictom (Minimum Sickness Tax) scheme

At the last Norge et Tille community council meeting on June 30 in Saint-Julien, Patrick Morelière, mayor of Arc-sur-Tille, spoke about the joint waste collection and treatment union (Smictom) of the Dijon plain, which operates in four of the 14 municipalities of the Norge et Tille inter-municipality (Arc-sur-Tille, Couternon, Remilly-sur-Tille and Varois-et-Chaignot).
"For several months, I've been alerting all elected officials about the situation at Smictom," he introduced during miscellaneous questions, before questioning the union's waste management: "It's a work in progress, on the ground. Sometimes the garbage is collected, other times not. We're forced to call on external service providers..."
