PAZ announces new mobilization for the closure of Lyon Zoo
On September 13, members of the animal rights association PAZ will demonstrate in front of the City Hall (1st arrondissement) for the "closure of the Lyon Zoo and the placement of the animals in a sanctuary."
Last April, the animal rights association PAZ revealed the results of a poll conducted by IFOP concerning the Lyon Zoo . According to the same poll, 56% of Lyon residents said they were in favor of closing the zoo located in the Tête d'Or park.
Five months later, and on the occasion of Democracy Day, the collective is asking again the closure of the zoo: "The majority of Lyonnais are in favor of closing the zoo and placing the animals in sanctuaries. We ask Grégory Doucet to take note of this and to stop acting as if this archaic place is unanimously accepted," says Amandine Sanvisens, co-founder of PAZ.
In this spirit, members of the PAZ association will meet on Saturday, September 13 at 11:15 a.m. in front of Lyon City Hall to demonstrate.
