What is the environmental cost of healthcare? While drugs and medical devices (implants, prosthetics, bandages, eyeglasses, imaging machines, etc.) are largely manufactured abroad , their production is increasingly vulnerable to climate risks. In France, too, the danger exists: 45% of pharmaceutical production facilities are now exposed to flooding , according to The Shift Project, a think tank working towards an economy free from carbon constraints.
