Hugo and Noémy, who live in Légny in the Beaujolais region, have decided to spend two months traveling the roads of France in a van, collecting waste with the help of volunteers they recruit through social media. Their first stop will be this Sunday, September 14, at the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage.
Making waste collection fun and attractive can seem like a challenge. It's a challenge Hugo Benadda and Noémy Coquard decided to take on upon their return from a nine-month trip to Southeast Asia in 2024. "In Thailand, we made videos for the Thai population: as tourists, we expected idyllic landscapes."
But there, the couple "walked through the trash." They decided to talk about this issue on Instagram and TikTok. "In a few months, we gained 80,000 followers."
