Saint-Hostien/Le Pertuis Bypass. RN88: Public Inquiry Opened, Opponents Say No to Expropriations

Under the project management of the AuRA Region, the creation of a dual carriageway bypassing the municipalities of Saint-Hostien and Le Pertuis will connect two already widened sections. To achieve this, a new declaration of public utility (DUP) will have to be established, as expropriations are required for the work to be carried out. A public inquiry has just been opened to gather the public's opinion on this matter.

A month ago, they planted potatoes on a plot of land between Le Pertuis and Saint-Hostien to protest the destruction of natural spaces. This action by the Lutte des Sucs, the collective opposing the RN88 bypass project, was one of the latest among hundreds since the group's inception four years ago. Their goal? To alert the public to the threats looming over the natural and agricultural areas doomed to disappear under the new dual carriageway.
