Saintes: non-smoking areas supported by the children's municipal council

Saintes: non-smoking areas supported by the children's municipal council

At the suggestion of the Children's Council, the City is banning smoking in front of the toy library, schools and in the stands of the rugby stadium.

But what do these large white dots of varying sizes that have appeared in front of the premises of the intercommunal toy library and the Léo-Lagrange leisure center in Saintes mean? These heat-sealed dots symbolize the establishment of "no-smoking" zones, as stated on an information panel. The stated objectives are to "protect vulnerable populations from passive smoking, combat cigarette butt pollution, affirm our commitment to healthy public spaces, and promote positive behaviors among young people."

The white dots are designed with heat-sealed patches.

The device was set up by the municipality at the suggestion of the children's municipal council. It is planned in front of the toy library, the Léo-Lagrange, Nicolas-Lemercier, and Émile-Combes schools, as well as in the stands of the rugby club.
