Schiltigheim. Two new tree-lined squares in the town center

It's wrongly called the media library square. But this new green space in the center of Schiltigheim, in front of the Frida Kahlo media library, is actually called the Church Square. At the request of Schiltigheim parishioners, Mayor Danielle Dambach agreed to keep the original name. This final negotiation is a reminder of the extent to which the development of this square, inaugurated on August 29, was a long and difficult process.

It took several years to see this little patch of greenery come to fruition, marked in turn by a change of municipality, the delicate transfer of private spaces – notably with the church council of Sainte-Famille – or the recent discovery of a Neolithic warrior .
