A strong gust of wind brought down a tree late Wednesday, July 2, in Thann. Located near the Kattenbach nursery school, this fifteen-meter-high lime tree broke at its base following a storm .

Damaged fence, roof and courtyard

The tree, which appeared to have weak foundations, fell into the schoolyard, damaging the fence as well as the roof and the zincwork of the playground. This Thursday, around 7 a.m., the City's technical services cut down the trunk before clearing the fallen tree and removing the damaged parts of the fence.
