Waste in Dordogne: the guarantees that Sictom wants to obtain before merging with SMD3

Waste in Dordogne: the guarantees that Sictom wants to obtain before merging with SMD3

Negotiations will begin with the main issues being maintaining the quality of household waste collection and the status of staff.

Attached to Sictom's merger request with SMD3, a list of 16 points will serve as the basis for the negotiations that will begin with the departmental union. For employees, the focus will be on non-layoffs or forced transfers. The most difficult discussions could relate to "the bonus portion of their compensation," estimates Sictom president Jérôme Peyrat.

The other requests concern the maintenance of the organization of waste collection from the Borne 120 logistics site, with the corollary of the same regularity of the rounds.

Elected officials are also keen to maintain the network of recycling centers and their opening hours. Another point of debate was the need to further integrate incentives into communications aimed at reducing waste. Support for the Compost'ère composting association is also a prerequisite. A bulky waste collection service, by reservation, is expected, similar to the one that exists at the SMD3 level.
