CIP leaves South Korean tender empty-handed
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) failed to secure a share of the pie in the latest tender for offshore wind projects in South Korea, writes Recharge News.
In total, contracts for almost 700 megawatts (MW) were awarded, while bids were invited for 1,250MW, of which 750MW were to come from private players such as CIP, which had bid on projects for 504MW for an existing 1 gigawatt (GW) project.
In the end, however, it was consortia involving publicly owned local companies that won the contracts, while another private player, Thailand’s B.Grimm, also came up empty-handed with its bid for 340MW.
