Energinet's major discount is designed to create security for consumers

Danish power grid operator Energinet wants to save consumers a lot of money with its announcement on Wednesday to lower electricity tariffs next year and then freeze them until 2030. Well, it’s kind of like that. If the grid and system tariff is reduced by the highest announced amount – 10% – it only equates to 1.35 øre, which doesn’t sound like much.
