Autostrade per l'Italia: responsible driving awareness campaign kicks off


The national road safety campaign is underway to raise awareness among drivers about the importance of responsible driving. The initiative is promoted byAutostrade per l'Italia in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport , the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies and the State Police, also to protect workers who operate on the highway network every day.
The campaign, which recalls the claim Freedom is movement, in safety , reminds us of the importance of respecting road rules, especially near a construction site and in the presence of people at work: from paying attention to signs, to respecting the safety distance and speed limits. The protagonists of the initiative are a service area operator and a traffic officer from ASPI who have lent their faces to the campaign: they are in the foreground, a still image that tells the story of the lives of those who work along the network, with their history, their loved ones and the future that awaits them: “Slow down, I'm going to be a father in a few days”; “Slow down, I'm getting married in a month”.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport , the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies , the State Police and Autostrade per l'Italia continue their joint commitment to safety, a priority and an essential value for addressing an issue on which we must never let our guard down.
"The protection of motorists and motorway operators represents a common goal that the State Police and Aspi have always shared, confirming the joint commitment to road safety as an essential value for the mobility of the future. Raising awareness of the importance of correct and careful driving even near construction sites is essential to guarantee the safety of users and all those who find themselves working on our motorways" , underlined the Director of the Highway Police Service Santo Puccia .

In this perspective, fundamental elements for us are compliance with the rules by all our employees, maximum adherence to initiatives to protect workers, including those of external companies that collaborate with us every day, the commitment to improve the dissemination of the culture of prevention at all levels. The road safety campaign promoted once again in the territory, in close synergy with the institutions, goes precisely in this direction: we have chosen to enhance the faces of the people who work on our network every day, to raise awareness among motorists of responsible driving to protect their own safety and that of those who work daily on construction sites ”.
The new campaign will be broadcast in the main national newspapers, on the web, on social media and on posters at the Service Areas of our network. In addition, on the radio on RTL 102.5 , every Friday at 8:45 , the new column “Don’t close your eyes” will be broadcast until July 25 , dedicated to road safety and correct driving behavior.
