FRAGILE MUSE | ESGnews

A journey into sustainability through the art of glass : these are the premises behind the exhibition FRAGILE – A Selection of Glasstress , where visitors are invited to discover the fragile beauty of life and the vital energy of the perennial relationship between the elements.

The collective exhibition , from 6 July to 26 October 2025 , brings together over 20 internationally renowned artists, with over 40 works, for an unprecedented staging of glass sculptures and installations in the setting of Castel Bel asi, a contemporary art centre for ecological thought, while at the MUSE a work by Pino Castagna refers visitors to the exhibition hosted in the medieval manor.

Born in collaboration with Berengo Studio of Murano , the works presented to the public lend themselves to an in-depth reflection on the fragility and extraordinary resistance of glass, a metaphor for our current existence. Through an evocative and poetic installation, the works on display float against the light in a magical representation, art becomes a noble voice to reveal through beauty the fragile relationship between human beings, nature and the environment.

“The exhibition brings together an extraordinary collection of contemporary glass art from the Berengo Studio collection. Each work continues to illustrate the unexpected ways in which this creative medium comes to life through the ideas of contemporary artists,” said Adriano Berengo , President of Berengo Studio. “An exhibition that reveals the careful awareness of how the works can inhabit and refract the spatial narratives of their surroundings and, in this case, a place steeped in centuries of history and architectural authority, highlighting the dialogical relationship between art and environment and offering the public an unexpected encounter with both.”

Exploring themes and challenges of our contemporary era, from biodiversity to the consumption of natural resources to the connection of every living form and organism, the works invite the viewer to an in-depth reflection on the intrinsic fragility and extraordinary resistance of glass, a metaphor for our current existence.

An exhibition that aims to offer the general public an unprecedented selection of Glasstress , the innovative collective exhibition founded in 2009 by Adriano Berengo, recognized as one of the main exhibitions of contemporary glass art in the world, signed by internationally renowned artists.

“The glass sculptures evoke the dual language of fragility and resilience, and in the ancient atmosphere of Castel Belasi they acquire a new voice, opening up to reflections on the great challenges of our contemporary world,” underlined curator Sandrine Welte . “Created through a collective effort, the works are the result of a synergy between the creative mind of the artist and the expert hand of the master glassmaker, the fruit of a skillful dance of translations and transformations. Signed by world-famous artists, the exhibition reveals itself to the public as a metaphor for thinking and designing a future towards a new sustainability, in harmony between fragility and the vital force of life.”
