Company creates service to optimize cargo transportation to the Port of Santos

New transport takes export cargo from the Brado Logística terminal in Sumaré (SP) to the country's main port

Brado Logística announced the creation of a new service for transporting export cargo between the Campinas region, in the interior of São Paulo, and the Port of Santos, in São Paulo. According to the company, the service is in collaboration with carriers that already transport import cargo to the region.

The new service works as follows: instead of trucks returning empty to the Port of Santos after delivering imported goods to the Campinas industrial hub, the vehicles are used to transport Brado's export cargo from its terminal in the municipality of Sumaré. By boosting the import market, the company can reduce costs and optimize transportation flow.

The solution, called 'Frete Sinergia', is part of the 'Carrossel da Brado' project, which foresees an investment of R$260 million by 2030 in the terminals of Sumaré and also in Rondonópolis (MT).

In May 2025, Brado's export operation in Sumaré handled around 700 trucks, loaded with products such as cotton, wood, beef, soybean and corn meal (DDG), ore and others.

Brado's Pricing and Customer Experience Manager, Thiago Estevam, highlighted that by connecting the return of vehicles carrying imported products to export demand, the operation becomes more efficient and has the potential to reduce costs for everyone involved.

"The agility of our terminal in Sumaré is a key factor. Import carriers can quickly unload their empty containers and take advantage of the opportunity to load our export cargo, optimizing the time of their vehicles and drivers," said the executive.

According to Estevam, the main advantage of the new service is the optimized use of cargo transportation capacity. By integrating import and export products, it is possible to combine Brado's cargo with that of partners, allowing carriers to generate revenue on routes that would previously have been flown without cargo.

Brado's terminal in Sumaré operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, facilitating the rapid unloading of empty containers and their immediate refilling with export products. This agility is crucial for optimizing the journeys of vehicles and drivers.
