Event promotes meeting between the ports of Santos and Mariel

The event is part of the Mamáfrica exhibition program and discusses cooperation, exports and sustainability.
From September 18 to October 26, the Porto Museum will host the exhibition Mamáfrica – African Ancestry between Brazil and Cuba, which integrates cultural programming and a moment of international dialogue.
On Thursday (18), at 2 pm, the Conversation Circle “Expanding Horizons of Sustainable and Solidary Business” will be held, promoted by the Instituto Alvorada Brasil and Barthô Naïf, sponsored by the Port Authority of Santos (APS) and Emgea – Asset Management Company.
The seminar will feature representatives from APS, the Cuban Consulate in São Paulo, the Ministry of Culture, APEX-Brasil, Sebrae Nacional, and experts from the Port of Mariel (Cuba), who will participate online. The discussion will address opportunities for exporting Brazilian products to the Caribbean, logistics, sustainability, and international cooperation.
At the end, the Brazil-Cuba/Caribbean Commitment Letter will be presented and symbolically signed, with proposals for technical visits between the two countries. This initiative reinforces the Port of Santos's role as the main gateway for cargo entering and leaving Latin America and expands Brazil's presence in trade with the Caribbean.
