Pazuello presents FREPPEGEN's performance and reinforces the sector's role

During Mission France 2025, the deputy highlighted the non-partisan nature of the front and the importance of oil and gas in the energy transition
The president of the Parliamentary Front in Support of Oil, Gas and Energy (FREPPEGEN), federal deputy Eduardo Pazuello (PL-RJ), made a detailed presentation this Wednesday (10) in Paris, during the France 2025 Mission, promoted by the Brazil Export Forum. He explained the role of the parliamentary front, its composition and the relationship of the collegiate with the National Congress and the private sector.
Pazuello emphasized that FREPPEGEN is nonpartisan and currently brings together approximately 270 representatives from 18 parties, "in a diagonal line that stretches from the Novo Party to the PCdoB." According to him, this model allows the group to act across the board and connect the sector's main demands with members of parliament.
"There will be no energy transition anywhere in the world without oil, gas, and all energy sources. It's a fallacy to think that it's possible to abandon the foundations of the energy matrix," the congressman stated, commenting on the challenge of reconciling sustainability and energy security.
The congressman explained that the operational arm of the front is the Oil, Gas, and Energy Institute (IPEGEN), responsible for monitoring government actions, proposing bills, and organizing debates and studies. He noted that the institute was formally established at the end of 2024 and began fully operating in March of this year.
Pazuello also praised the partnership with Grupo Brasil Export, responsible for IPEGEN's communications. "We leveraged the full capabilities of Fabrício Julião (the group's CEO) and Brasil Export to publicize our work and participate in events," he said. He emphasized that the Brasil Export brand has been expanded to include a branch focused on the mining and energy sector, which will directly support the parliamentary group's actions.
Finally, the representative emphasized that FREPPEGEN's objective is to create a structured channel of communication between the energy sector, the Legislature, and other branches of government. "The strength of the parliamentary group lies in its voting guidance, which reaches 270 representatives, allowing decisions to be made collectively and transparently," he concluded.
