Port of Itajaí receives more than 300 high-end BMW vehicles

The unloading operation of cars from the German automaker took place last Friday (25)
The Port of Itajaí (SC) received last Friday (25) an unloading operation of more than 300 vehicles from the German automaker BMW. The complex continues to be one of the main destinations for luxury car cargo in Brazil.
The vehicles arrived aboard the Liberian-flagged Goodwood. Imported models include the M3 Competition, 420i, 220, and M2, featuring the automaker's new purple color. According to the Port Authority, in addition to the BMWs, the cargo also included Mini Coopers.
"This transaction demonstrates not only the confidence of major automakers in our structure, but also our commitment to logistical efficiency, infrastructure modernization, and value creation for the city of Itajaí. We continue working to consolidate the Port as a national benchmark for high-value-added cargo, increasing our competitiveness and attracting investments that boost the local and regional economy," stated João Paulo Tavares Bastos, Superintendent of the Port of Itajaí.
In recent weeks, the Port of Itajaí has received roll-on/roll-off vessel operations, for unloading high-end and electric vehicles from car manufacturers around the world.
