Works on the Vieira tunnel progress on BR-280/SC

Works on the Vieira tunnel progress on BR-280/SC

With 81% completed, the project between Jaraguá do Sul and Schroeder is part of the duplication with resources from the New PAC

The National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) is moving forward with the works to duplicate BR-280/SC, with emphasis on the construction of the double tunnel in Morro do Vieira, located between the municipalities of Jaraguá do Sul and Schroeder.

The structure, which is part of lot 2.2 of the duplication, will be approximately one thousand meters long when completed and will have concrete paving, reinforcing the durability and safety of the section.

With an investment of approximately R$228.1 million from the Federal Government, 81% of the work has already been completed. Currently, the teams are working on the external part, on the western end, concentrating their efforts on the lateral containment of the slope. Actions are being carried out to stabilize the geological massif, such as the installation of anchors of varying lengths, application of a coating with metal mesh and shotcrete with a thickness of 12 centimeters.

In addition, deep horizontal drains are being installed, which are essential to protect the massif from the action of water, contributing to the integrity of the slope over time.

Enterprise

The double tunnel is part of the works to widen the 73.9 kilometers of BR-280/SC, between São Francisco do Sul and Jaraguá do Sul, divided into three lots. Lot 1 is 26% complete; lot 2.1 has already completed 85% of its services; and lot 2.2 has completed 69% of its planned work.

The project has a total budget of approximately R$1.7 billion. Provided for in the New PAC, the resource enables the progress of structural works, such as the new Jaraguá do Sul Bypass.
