1.2 million earnings per month from the sun

The Solar Energy System project, previously implemented in the Cold Storage, has now been implemented in the Animal Market. With the system, electricity used in many areas, including municipal buildings, parks, and gardens, is now generated by renewable solar energy. Thanks to this investment, the İnegöl Municipality is saving an average of 1.2 million Turkish Lira per month in energy costs.
Commenting on the matter, İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban stated that the project not only addresses the present but also the future. Mayor Taban said, “As the İnegöl Municipality, we are delighted to implement this project, which directly impacts our energy consumption. With the solar energy system we installed on the roof of our Animal Market, we are now generating our own energy. With this energy, we are now able to meet the electricity needs of our parks, green spaces, gardens, and all municipal service buildings. This represents a significant monthly savings of approximately 1.2 million lira. This is not only an economic gain, but also a requirement of our responsibility to nature, the environment, and future generations.”
Mayor Alper Taban emphasized the importance of renewable energy sources, saying, “We attach great importance to such investments in reducing our dependence on foreign energy sources, using the municipal budget more efficiently, and reducing carbon emissions. With this project, we have taken an exemplary step not only economically but also in environmental awareness. Considering the exponential increase in energy costs every year, the benefits of such investments to our municipality are even clearer.”
Mayor Taban also stated that they will implement many more renewable energy projects in the coming period. He concluded by saying, “We will continue to power İnegöl from the sun. We operate with a vision based on sustainability in all our planning. Our greatest goal is to leave a more livable, greener İnegöl for future generations.”
