18 Energy Companies Among Export Giants in 2024

Energy Journal – In the list of “Turkey’s Top 1000 Exporters in 2024” announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), companies operating in the energy sector were among the rising companies in Turkey’s foreign trade.
Many companies operating in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, electrical equipment, industrial gases and renewable technologies have attracted attention with their export volumes. These companies not only contribute to the economy but also contribute to the goals of energy independence and sustainable growth.
TWO REFINERIES IN THE TOP 10
Tüpraş, one of the prominent companies on the list, ranked 4th in the overall ranking and became the leader in the Chemicals and Products sector. The company's exports in 2024 amounted to $3.2 billion. The refinery's products include high value-added fuels and petrochemicals.
STAR Refinery Inc. rose to 6th place in the general ranking, reinforcing its strong position in the sector. STAR, which exports 2.67 billion dollars annually, reached a record level by increasing its installed capacity to 13 million tons.
INVESTMENT IN INDUSTRIAL GASES AND ENERGY FROM IRON AND STEEL
HABAŞ ranked 23rd in the general ranking and first in the Steel sector. The company, whose 2024 exports were recorded as 908 million dollars, operates in many sectors, including energy production.
İÇDAŞ ranked 40th with $590 million in exports. The company's title, which includes the phrase "energy", shows the connection between production activities and energy.
RISING ENERGY TECHNOLOGY PLAYERS
Renewable energy and energy equipment manufacturers also had a significant place in the list:
- GRID Solutions Energy: #86, $286 million
- HES Hacılar Elektrik: 90th place, 282 million dollars
- ASTOR Energy: 121st place, $228 million
- VERGO Energy Systems: #208, $134 million
- Green Transfo Energy Turkey: 245th place, $119 million
NEW GENERATION EXPORTERS: TURBINE, CONTROL SYSTEMS AND PETROCHEMICALS
Companies operating in many niche areas, from wind turbine towers to automation systems, also made the list:
- GESBEY Energy: 605th place, $51 million
- KONTROLMATİK Technology Energy: 802nd place, $39 million
- EUROPOWER Energy & Automation: 913th place, $34.7 million
- REKSOIL Petrochemicals: 885th place, $36 million
Data for 2024 show that the export potential of the energy sector has increased and expanded from traditional energy production to technology exports.
