ALKU students at the top of Teknofest 2025

The project titled “Antalya Province Electric Vehicle Charging Station Site Selection Study with the Application of GIS-Based Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Methods”, carried out under the supervision of Dr. Lecturer Eren Kamber and Lecturer Ufuk Aydoğmuş at TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, was awarded the highest score by the jury for its innovative approach in the field of Energy and Environment, placing it at the top of the competition.

They made the project of the future

Competitors Eray Baysal and Aleyna Kenar, graduates of the class of 2025, competed in the Energy and Environment category as part of the 2025 TEKNOFEST 2242 University Student Research Project. The project stood out for its practical nature and its solutions to the challenges encountered in site selection for electric vehicle charging stations in Antalya, in line with the principles of sustainable urban planning and energy efficiency. Competitors Eray Baysal and Aleyna Kenar achieved this prestigious result by successfully applying the knowledge they acquired during their Industrial Engineering education to the fields of transportation, environment, and energy. This achievement will make a significant contribution not only academically but also to society.

Rafet Kayış Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Erhan Cengiz, Assistant Professor Eren Kamber, and Instructor Ufuk Aydoğmuş, as well as champions Eray Baysal and Aleyna Kenar, visited ALKU Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan.
