An investigation into the truck driver and the company that dumped tons of textile waste on the beach

The driver of the truck that dumped tons of textile waste on the beach in the Akdeniz district of Mersin and the company it was affiliated with have been identified and an investigation has been launched into them.
The driver of the truck, which came to the coast of Karaduvar Neighborhood in the central Akdeniz district, escaped after dumping tons of textile waste.
Following a tip-off, teams from the Akdeniz Municipality's Environmental Protection and Control Department scooped up tons of clothing, fabric, and textile waste that had spilled onto the beach and loaded them onto trucks to remove them from the area. An application was also made to the Karaduvar Neighborhood Şehit Natık Karadeniz Police Station.
Police launched an investigation into the incident and identified the license plate and company of the vehicle that dumped tons of textile waste onto the beach. An investigation has been launched into the driver and the company.
Akdeniz Deputy Mayor Zeyit Şener stated that the necessary applications have been made to initiate legal action against both the company in question and the truck driver who dumped tons of waste on the beach.
Şener emphasized that individuals or organizations that threaten public health and pollute the environment and nature will never be tolerated, saying, "This incident on the Karaduvar coast is a grave act of irresponsibility towards the environment and human health. As Akdeniz Municipality, we will not tolerate any actions that pollute the environment."
