Aselsan's 20 MW solar power plant in Niğde granted EIA exemption

Energy Diary - It has been decided that an EIA is not required for the 20 MWm solar power plant to be built by Aselsan Electronic Industry and Trade Inc. in Niğde.

The Project Introduction File submitted to the Ministry by Çınar Engineering Consultancy on August 16, 2025, regarding the Aselsan-1 Solar Power Plant project planned to be built by Aselsan Electronic Industry and Trade Inc. in the Kesbi location of the Edikli village in the Central District of Niğde Province, on the parcel number 5 of the island number 292, was reviewed and evaluated.

In accordance with Article 17 of the EIA Regulation, the Niğde Governorship decided that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required for the Aselsan-1 Solar Power Plant project.

The power plant will be operational on an area of ​​22.48 hectares with an installed power of 20 MWm and an electricity production capacity of 15 MWe.
