Hyundai has unveiled Concept THREE, its first compact electric vehicle concept under its IONIQ sub-brand.Hyundai Motor Company unveiled Concept THREE, its first compact electric vehicle (EV) concept under its IONIQ sub-brand, at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. This significant unveiling highlights Hyundai's ambitious plans to introduce electrified models in the rapidly evolving global market. At IAA Mobility 2025, Hyundai also showcased its entire EV lineup, sharing its electrification strategy as it plays a leading role in Europe's clean energy transition.
Concept THREEHyundai highlighted the next step in the brand’s electrification journey with the concept it showcased at IAA Mobility 2025. Concept THREE, an innovative compact electric vehicle concept, signals that Hyundai is moving towards a new vehicle segment that will complement its existing medium and large-size electric vehicle models. Demand for compact electric vehicles has increased in Europe due to urbanization, sustainability regulations, and the need for space-efficient solutions. With Concept THREE, Hyundai demonstrates its readiness to meet this demand by leveraging its advanced electrification experience. Concept Three is 4,287 mm long, 1,940 mm wide, and 1,428 mm high. This concept, which sheds light on the designs of the brand’s future electric models, has a wheelbase of 2,722 mm.

Design HighlightsArt of Steel transforms the strength and flexibility of steel into a sculptural design language. Inspired by Hyundai's advanced steel technologies, the design symbolizes natural formability while simultaneously creating awareness with fluid volumes.
– Aero Hatch: Softened body lines create spiral forms using three main surfaces. Intersecting lines from the front to the rear add visual elegance to the concept. The Aero Hatch profile emphasizes urban versatility by offering a distinctive roofline combined with aerodynamic efficiency and a vertical tailgate.
– Parametric Pixel: Concept THREE features parametric pixel lighting on both the front and rear. The pixels are now more expressive, creating a gradient that adds depth and visual rhythm to the overall design.
