Rosatom participated in the BRICS Nuclear Energy Platform session

Representatives of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom presented their modern approach to managing supplier relationships in the nuclear industry at the BRICS Nuclear Energy Platform session held as part of the VII International Nuclear Industry Exhibition and the XI Nuclear Power Plants Summit (NPPES).
According to a statement from Rosatom, the session was attended by Elsie Pule, Platform Chief Coordinator from South Africa; Hakan Görey, Commercial Director of Titan 2 IC İçtaş Construction Joint Stock Company; Fei Min, International Department Director of the China State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC); Maxwell Msabala, Design Manager of the Eskom Nuclear Construction Programme from South Africa; Sengiphile Simelane, Executive Director of Energy and Industry at the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (NECSA), and other representatives.
Participants addressed issues of quality control, maintaining the necessary level of competence, and implementing new regulatory approaches within the sector. The session highlighted issues such as improving supplier qualifications, the need for regulatory authorities to adapt to changing market structures, and the involvement of international development banks in supply chain financing.
In her speech at the session, Esra Songur, Akkuyu Nuclear Inc. Sustainable Development and Energy Companies and Business Associations Relations Director, touched upon the increasing export potential of companies involved in the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction project and noted the following:
