Digital Industries' software arm performed weaker in the quarter due to the high base generated by the large licensing agreements secured in the same quarter last year. All key performance indicators reflected this challenging comparative situation. In contrast, group-level free cash flow was extremely strong at €2.9 billion (Q3 2024: €2.1 billion). Net income increased by 5 percent to €2.2 billion (Q3 2024: €2.1 billion).Siemens delivered strong results in the third quarter of 2025, ending June 30, 2025, continuing its successful growth trajectory by recording growth across nearly all of its key performance indicators. In light of this strong performance, the company confirmed its outlook for fiscal 2025, excluding the impact of the earlier-than-planned acquisitions of Altair and Dotmatics, as well as the gain from the sale of Innomotics.
Siemens AG President and CEO Roland Busch commented on the third-quarter results:
"Our third-quarter performance demonstrates that Siemens delivered stable and strong results despite global market volatility. We are recording sustainable growth momentum in orders, revenue, and net profit. Digitalization and sustainability remain key drivers of our growth. Furthermore, with the acquisition of Dotmatics, we are expanding into new markets in the life sciences sector and creating significant synergies by integrating scientific intelligence with our industrial AI technologies," he said.
Siemens AG Chief Financial Officer Ralf P. Thomas made the following assessment:
"We generated impressive free cash flow of €2.9 billion in the third quarter. We aim to achieve double-digit free cash flow returns for the full fiscal year. Looking ahead, we have strong confidence that we will continue to achieve sustainable and profitable growth. Accordingly, we maintain our outlook for fiscal year 2025," he said.
