BSW-Solar launches network for solar professionals

The German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar) unveiled a new career network for the solar and storage industries at The smarter E Europe. Registered solar companies gain exclusive access to a constantly growing pool of qualified candidates to fill vacant positions on a portal specifically designed for recruiting solar professionals.
Qualified personnel is rareThis is because the industries anticipate a steadily growing demand for skilled workers in the coming years. According to the German Solar Association (BSW-Solar), over 120,000 people are already employed in the photovoltaic and solar power storage sectors in Germany. However, project developers, planners, and skilled tradesmen in particular are desperately seeking skilled workers. According to estimates by EUPD Research, this number is expected to grow to around 133,000 full-time positions by 2030. "Demand for skilled workers is particularly high in the highly qualified professional groups of engineers, journeymen, and master craftsmen specializing in construction electrical engineering, such as DC assembly, AC installation, photovoltaic planning, or construction management," says Carsten Körnig, Managing Director of the BSW-Solar.
DGS and HTW expand platform for expertise
Find skilled workers with just a few clicksWith the new job portal, BSW-Solar aims to support solar industry companies in their search for skilled workers. "We have built a matching platform that enables solar companies to connect with a growing pool of qualified candidates from the solar industry with just a few clicks," says Körnig, describing the solution. Both qualified specialists and solar companies can create profiles and connect with each other free of charge. At the same time, the career network serves as a gateway for candidates to German companies from the solar and storage industries, which present themselves as employers on the platform.
