Bergman Clinics is a private hospital group headquartered in Naarden, Netherlands, operating specialist clinics at 140 locations in the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. It employs approximately 3,000 people, including over 250 specialists, who care for more than 300,000 patients annually.
At its new headquarters in Naarden, the clinic group has taken an important step in modernizing its ICT infrastructure: Bergman Clinics opted for an IT infrastructure solution from Datwyler, developed in close cooperation with Redlink, a specialist in data network solutions.
Following Redlink's expert advice, the project managers opted for a high-quality communications network with Category 6A cables and components. This infrastructure not only meets current requirements but is also ideally suited for future technological developments.
The new network supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet and is suitable for Voice over IP (VoIP), Power over Ethernet (PoE), and various multimedia applications, such as presentation screens and video conferencing. Security cameras, access control systems, and door intercom systems are also integrated into the network.
A high-performance backbone consisting of 12-fiber OM3 cables and FO connection components from Datwyler ensures fast and reliable data transmission. Thanks to consulting from Redlink, Bergman Clinics' ICT infrastructure offers a 25-year performance guarantee, thus ensuring a high degree of future-proofing.
A unique addition to the project is the use of the patch box system in the server rooms. This ensures neat cable routing and a clear installation. This system simplifies cable management and troubleshooting of any network issues.
