With the "Mono S4 Halfcut BC Full Black," Solar-Fabrik offers a high-performance module for photovoltaic systems. The module's nominal power is 475 W and its efficiency is 23.3%.

The solar module combines back-contact technology with anti-shading properties. This increases energy yield, improves low-light performance, and reduces electrical losses. Black grid lines and the back-contacting of the double-glass module also contribute to an aesthetic appearance. With back-contact technology (BC), the current flows through contacts on the back of the solar cells. This leaves the entire front side available for light absorption. This means less light is lost through reflection, increasing power yields. The new modules from Solar Fabrik also consist of bifacial N-type cells and generate energy also through the back of the cells, with minimal degradation. Under optimal conditions, this allows for yields up to 30% higher.
Thanks to anti-shading technology, the modules deliver above-average yields even in partial shade. A cell-level bypass diode ensures that unshaded cell areas can continue to operate—a benefit on roofs of residential or commercial properties with chimneys, dormers, or tree shade.
Thanks to the exposed cell front without metallic conductors and optimized anti-reflective coatings, the module operates with high efficiency even in diffuse light—for example, in the morning, evening, or cloudy conditions—and thus ensures stable daily and annual yields. The module's backside contacting also ensures that the conductors remain intact even if fine cracks appear in the silicon structure. This increases its service life and ensures long-term stability. With hail protection class 4, the module can withstand ice balls with a diameter of 40 mm at 29.2 m/s. The module can withstand snow loads of up to 5400 Pa and is salt spray and ammonia resistant. This ensures reliable operation even under extreme conditions.
