Bracon: The rehabilitation of the waste disposal site will be launched next spring.
After a period of hesitation regarding the choice of land, Sictom had no choice but to maintain its site and opt for a renovation of the existing one. The recycling center will be slightly enlarged and better laid out. Users will make a loop around a central island to deposit their waste.
The Bracon waste disposal site, built around thirty years ago, is no longer up to standard in many respects.
Its symptomatic operation was demonstrated by the leak of used oil into the Furieuse in February 2024. This had earned a formal notice to the Sictom Jura Est (Intercommunal Union for the Collection and Treatment of Household Waste), which manages the area's waste disposal sites.
