Climate. Drought alert in several areas of Bas-Rhin

Due to the worrying rainfall deficit observed in Alsace since the beginning of the year, the Bruche, Ehn, Andlau, Giessen and Liepvrette watersheds, as well as the Saar watershed, have been placed on "drought alert", indicates the Bas-Rhin prefecture.
The state of "vigilance" is an anticipatory measure: it is not accompanied by restrictive measures, but aims to raise awareness among the entire population (individuals, local authorities, professionals, businesses, farmers, etc.) of the current situation to encourage them to adopt economical management of water resources.
Every water user is therefore encouraged to moderate their water consumption. Showing restraint in daily water consumption is a civic act that helps preserve, for everyone, the precious common good that is water, a necessary element for human activities, but also for aquatic environments and the biodiversity they support.
