Cluny. A materials library is taking shape to give materials a second life

In the former Bergesserin sanatorium, a materials library has been created to continuously recover reusable materials. This is supported by the Cluny and Trambly recycling centers, which have set up collection points.

The Grosne Valley SIRTOM, in partnership with the local communities, is permanently relaunching the collection of reusable materials at the Cluny and Trambly recycling centers. A first experiment, conducted in 2024, resulted in the recovery of more than 6 tons of materials in four months (doors, windows, pallets, tiles, etc.).

"The idea is for this collection to run continuously, to prevent usable materials from being thrown away," explains Sylvain Galland, a technician at Sirtom.
