In Hérault, the fire was "under control" on Sunday morning and also swept through approximately 400 hectares of forest and vegetation on Saturday. The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. at the Col de la Tortue in the commune of Fabrègues, before crossing the A9 motorway, which was closed two hours later in both directions, between Sète and Montpellier, heading towards Lyon and Spain.

Further east, in Bouches-du-Rhône, the fire that broke out during the night on the very touristy Côte Bleue, around fifteen kilometers northwest of Marseille, was "contained" after having covered around a hundred hectares of forest.
