Is-sur-Tille. “Everyone can participate”: a photo competition to reveal local biodiversity

The Municipal Biodiversity Atlas (ABC) is an essential tool for monitoring the evolution of fauna and flora, and thus determining the areas to be preserved as a priority.
Maëlle Walter, project manager for the City of Is-sur-Tille, is working with the Espace Carnot team to develop an initiative combining photography and environmental protection. "It's a way to raise awareness among residents about environmental issues by allowing them to take an active role in this area," she explains. This initiative aims to mobilize the residents of Is-sur-Tille around a concrete environmental project, combining awareness-raising and promoting the local natural heritage.
This photo contest is divided into two categories: a youth category, aimed at those under 15, and an adult category. Three themes are proposed: wilderness, urban, and aquatic. "Anyone can participate; you don't need to be a professional," emphasizes the organizer. Photos taken with cell phones are accepted.
Participants have until August 15th to submit their work to [email protected]. The selected photographs will be exhibited at the Espace Carnot from September 5th to October 12th. Exhibition visitors will vote for the best photographs.
