Lyon. The artwork on Place Bellecour is complete.

Orange, green, blue. The giant shade structures are all installed and the misters are operational. After two and a half months of installation, Urban Weaving , the ephemeral work of art inspired by silk weavers, but which has caused so much controversy since its appearance on Place Bellecour , is finished. Criticized by some residents and opposition elected officials, notably for its cost (estimated at 1.6 million euros), its aesthetics or even its real capacity to create freshness, the work of Romain Froquet (artist) and Tristan Israel (architect) must now face the test of time. It is planned that this work - which can be dismantled and reassembled - will live on Place Bellecour for a period of five years.
