Montreux-Château. The Suarcine, a river reborn after years of abandonment

It is a natural space where wild mint grows and silvery willows rustle; a damp meadow where cattle graze and stands the motte-and-bailey, a vestige of the old Montreux castle. And in the middle of this landscape flows, once again, a river: the Suarcine, through its final meanders in the Haut-Rhin leading to its confluence with the Saint-Nicolas , in the Territoire de Belfort (read elsewhere).
